I have been reading your posts in this piece of legislation and thinking "Oh well, not very relevant to me" until til it occurred to me, if it gets passed, that will set up an awful precedent for the rest of the world. I'm so glad to hear it didn't pass, or even come close!
You're right about it effecting the rest of the dog world! These same "animal rights" fanatics have now influenced changes in the English standard for the Scottish Terrier and other breeds, denial of sponsorship for Crufts, they've tried to make the Westminster show not be televised, and on and on...These fanatics hide behind advertisements about saving animals while their goal is the extinction of all domestic animals! It's absolutely crazy and unsuspecting/ignorant pet lovers are donating money to them hand over fist! Humans have lived with and domesticated animals, dogs especially, since we were living in caves! As you might be able to tell, they really make my blood boil! Sorry to rant and rave.
