I wonder if he was thinking of my Grandmother (RIP) when he wrote that? She would move along with her walker sounding like quacking ducks with every step...I don't miss walking behind her, but I do miss her! She would tell me it was her shoes making all that noise, then she would blame the dog, and later on she just ignored it. Life plays cruel jokes on otherwise dignified creatures!
